Will Monopoly’s New Cat Pass Go?

Since 1935, Monopoly has entertained children of all ages with its game of strategy and – yes, our favorite part – spending big money on make-believe real estate. (If you added shopping for shoes, it might just be the perfect game.)

Well, everyone’s favorite game night go-to might soon be getting a bit of a makeover, as it recently announced the retirement of one of it’s iconic Monopoly tokens (to be decided by popular vote). There are several new pieces that could potentially replace it – including a tiny cat token, which we just happen to love.

The best part? You can vote for the new cat token (or any of the other new pieces) on the Monopoly Facebook page. Remember: only one will advance to Go. Make your vote count!

i am a totally cat lover. but i am equally a monopoly lover. If it ain’t broke don’t mess with it. Is anything sacred anymore. Keep the original game the way it is. but don’t get me wrong i would totally buy a monopoly game surrounded by a cat theme.

I can’t believe I played Monopoly all these years without a cat! We had a cat store in Gatlinburg called Cattitudes and we sold Catoloply! Love playing and love cats. You have my vote!
